Wow… totally impressed with my new toy.
Doku wiki is a flatfile wiki written in PHP. Installation is a breeze and it does “good things” straight out of the box. I was able to set-up ACLs (permissions) for some users in less then 5 minutes! Now I will have a central place to store my ideas.

I can use it through-the-web, or if I ssh-mount my home folder I can use a native filemanager (at least from Gnome…) since all the data files are simple .txt files.

Lots of plugins and stuff too… but I will try not to start playing with that and stay focused.

Fuckin’ retarded…. I’m sorry but SERIOUSLY!!!

The idea of the application menus being permanently stuck to the “outermost window”,
the bazel of the screen so to say is very cool and stuff if you have a 1024×768 screen
but on a large screen it is a nightmare !

imagine you have a window open on the right side of your screen…
then to File… -> Open… you would have to go all the way accross the screen to the top left corner

i am installing Debian on this thing immediately
